The NBA has designated Dick Parsons as the new interim CEO for the Los Angeles Clippers.
USA Today reports that Parsons, who is former chairman of Citigroup and Time Warner, has been appointed by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver to run the Clippers organization. In a news release, Parsons stated, "As lifelong fan of the NBA, I am firmly committed to the values and principles it is defending, and I completely support Adam's leadership in navigating the challenges facing the team and the league."
Earlier this week, it was reported that the NBA was looking to find a new CEO to to be in charge of the operations for the Clippers. Clippers owner Donald Sterling received a lifetime ban from the NBA and is not allowed to be a part of any decisions involving the Clippers.
According to Radar Online a new audio recording of Sterling has been released. On the new recording Sterling can be heard saying that he is not a racist. Sterling can be heard telling a friend, "You think I have anything in the world but love for everybody? You don’t think that! You know I’m not a racist!."
