Pharrell will perform at the first annual iHeart Music Awards in Los Angeles. The star-studded event will take place on May 1.
Fans have been voting for their favorite artists, and posting on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Rihanna, Diddy, and Jennifer Lopez will be attending the ceremony. Presenters will include Gwen Stefani, Lionel Richie, Selena Gomez, and Juanes. There will be performances by Pitbull, Luke Bryan, and Thirty Seconds to Mars, according to the Associated Press.
This is the first year of the iHeart Music Awards. The iHeart Radio platform is an initiative from Clear Channel, according to the LA Times. iHeart Radio offers streaming access to over 11 million songs. It can be used on smartphones and other streaming devices.
Ryan Seacrest will be producing the show. The iHeart Music Awards will be broadcast from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. The program will air live on May 1 on NBC at 8 p.m.
