At the Cannes Film Festival, actor Robert Pattinson takes time to discuss his new film, The Rover, and perhaps, not take too may pictures.

"I'm just trying to not be in stupid gossip magazines, basically, and I think the best way to do it is never be photographed ever," says Pattinson, according to Associated Press. "As I get older, I just get more and more and more self-conscious about getting photographed. I don't know why. I've done it too many times and now I feel like everyone can see through me."

Robert Pattinson is also known for his work in Twilight. Pattinson has made films with Werner Herzog and Anton Corbijn. He stars as Rey in the film that takes place in the Australian Outback. The movie also stars Guy Pearce as Eric and Scoot McNairy as Henry.

The film screened at Cannes at a star-studded gathering. Paris Hilton appeared on the red carpet as did Spanish director, Pedro Almodovar, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

The Rover opens in the United States on June 13.
