Texas authorities finally were able to locate and arrest 20-year-old Ryan Walton, the son of a couple who were found dead in their home Thursday evening.
Ryan had been named a person of interest in the murder of his parents, 54-year-old Michael Walton and 52-year-old Lynda Walton. Ryan had not been seen or heard from since the bodies were discovered in their Lake Pointe Estates home on Thursday. They were found by the couple’s 24-year-old son Thursday evening.
Fort Bend County Sheriff Troy Nehls previously told, My Fox Houston, “We’re concerned about his safety. We haven’t been able to talk to him. Knowing his parents are deceased you think it would be something he is concerned about. So we’re looking for him.”
KPRC reports that both of the Waltons were found with gunshot wounds, but it has not yet been determined how they died. Authorities said there were signs of forced entry, but they have not been able to find a weapon.
Ryan was spotted by an off-duty Fort Bend County sergeant around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. He was taken into custody and is being held in Fort Bend County Jail without bond.
