Bret Michaels ends his New Hampshire concert early Thursday after suffering from a medical emergency.
The singer announced that he could no longer perform after just three songs and was rushed from the stage, the Associated Press reports. A crew member says he suffered from extremely low blood sugar and when he checked on him shortly after the incident Michaels could barely speak. The singer was diagnosed with diabetes as a child.
According to Rolling Stone Magazine, Michael's guitarist, Pete Evick confirmed the singer’s health issues in a post on Bret Michael’s official website. "In the nine years I've stood next to him, I've never seen a look like the one on his face, as if I was a complete stranger," Evick wrote on the site. "He returned to the stage to announce that he could not continue. As you all know, he is a health fanatic and fiercely monitors his blood sugar; he basically had to be dragged off the stage in his sickest of conditions."
Since the incident Michaels has took to social media to thank the paramedics that assisted him.
