Modern Family star Sofia Vergara revealed on Friday that she and her fiance Nick Loeb have split up for the second time.
She took to the social media site WhoSay to write, "Nick and I have [decided] to be apart. We have been having too many problems with figuring out how to spend time together ... [it's] getting worse and worse, not fun anymore."
She also explained she was merely speaking out to avoid giving anyone the chance to speculate on their breakup.
According to Us Weekly, the 41-year-old actress and 38-year-old businessman first began dating back in 2010, but were off and on ever since. They initially broke up in 2012, but only a couple of months later they resurrected their relationship and announced their engagement.
In the June 2013 issue of Cosmopolitan, Vergara explained that neither she nor Loeb were in a hurry to get married, preferring instead to take it slow. The TV star noted that they have each already had large weddings from previous marriages, "so we're going to do something but not right now."
Ahead of May upfronts, ABC announced that Modern Family was renewed for a sixth season, with the ensemble comedy set to return in the fall after another strong season in the TV ratings.
