Son of broadcaster Craig Sager says his father's health has gotten better

By Shaunice Conyers,

Craig Sager Jr, the son of broadcaster Craig Sager, says that his dad's health has gotten better.

ESPN reports how Sager Jr. stated that his dad is leaving the hospital after going through chemotherapy for three weeks in order to fight leukemia.

Since the news of Sager's leukemia diagnosis became public, many coaches and players in the NBA have reached out to him. Head coaches Gregg Popovich of the San Antonio Spurs and Tom Thibodeau of the Chicago Bulls have reached out to him, while Brooklyn Nets player Kevin Garnett sent him flowers and Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers sent him a basket of fruit.

Last month, it was reported how Sager had been diagnosed with acute leukemia and that he would be going through treatments to fight it. Sager, who is a sports broadcaster, began his career back in the early 1970's. For the last 20 years, Sager has served as a sideline reporter for TNT and TBS and is also known for his fancy style of clothing.
