The ladies of The View weighed in on the leaked surveillance footage of Solange Knowles violently attacking her sister Beyonce’s husband Jay Z and Whoopi Goldberg surprised the audience with her opinion on this scandal.
Goldberg reasoned that a man has a right to slap a woman if she did the hitting first, saying she thought Jay Z had the right to hit Solange back in this situation.
“I think Solange was quite ready for him to do whatever he was going to do. This is the thing: If anybody hits you, you have the right – I know that many people are raised in a different way – but if a woman hits you, to me, you have the right to hit her back,” said Goldberg, Fox News reports.
When Barbara Walters questioned her, she clarified, “If I slap a man, he has every right to slap me back.”
Meanwhile, The Standard Hotel confirmed on Thursday that they’ve discovered who the employee was that leaked the tape to the media and have fired the person.
