Carmaker Porsche has been sued over the crash that killed actor Paul Walker last November in California. The actor had yet to complete filming on Fast & Furious 7.
The widow of the driver, Roger Rodas, Kristine M. Rodas claims in her wrongful death lawsuit that “design flaws in the automobile caused both men to die.”
Rodas’ attorney, Mark Geragos, said that he hired the top experts to look at the tragedy, including the wreckage. Rodas was driving a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT that crashed. The suit claims that the automobile was speeding at 94 mph when the accident occurred, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The lawsuit states, "The Carrera GT was unsafe for its intended use by reason of defects in its manufacture, design, testing, component and constituents, so that it would not safely serve its purpose,” according to the Associated Press.
The lawsuit said that the flaw was the lack of a proper crash cage and proper safety features. The lawsuit is seeking an unspecified amount of damages from Porsche Cars North America.
