Aaron Sorkin adapting Michael Lewis' Wall Street book 'Flash Boys'

The West Wing creator Aaron Sorkin is in talks to adapt a second book by Michael Lewis, Flash Boys for Sony.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Flash Boys follows high-frequency trading and how a group of Wall Street traders started to understand that it was a system tilted too much in the favor of insiders.

The book followed Sergey Aleynikov, IEX founder Brad Katsuyama and others.
Sony picked up the film rights for the best-selling book just as it was published earlier this year and Eli Bush and Scott Rudin are on board to produce.

Sorkin also adapted Lewis' Moneyball, writing an early script for the film, which starred Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill.

He also wrote the screenplay for the upcoming Steve Jobs film, which originally had David Fincher attached to direct, but he pulled out over contract disagreements and Danny Boyle reportedly set to direct now.

Sorkin is also working on the third season of HBO's Emmy winning drama series The Newsroom, which he previously apologized for, feeling like it took him a while to get the writing on the show right. He notably wished he could go back and fix issues with the show.
