Daniel Radcliffe wants to play Robin in next 'Batman' film

By Benjamin Mazzara,

Daniel Radcliffe, star of the Harry Potter films, The Woman in Black and the upcoming film What If, recently asserted that he is interested in playing Batman’s sidekick, Robin, in Warner Bros.' upcoming reboot.

In a rapid-fire question and answer session with Buzzfeed, Radcliffe was asked if he would ever work in another franchise again. Radcliffe stated that he would and that he would love to work on the Batman franchise.

“If they reboot that again, I’ll do that too,” Radcliff stated. “It’s happening, isn’t it? With Ben Affleck. I could be Robin. I’m perfect.”

Given the relatively humorous nature of the interview, it’s uncertain if Radcliffe was being facetious, but considering Warner Bros.' more comic-book focus in their upcoming films, it is quite possible that these films would include the Boy Wonder.

It is uncertain if the studio would consider Radcliffe’s interest in the role, but his interactions with the studio in the past and his box office draw due to the Harry Potter movies could make a partnership very possible.

It was recently announced that Affleck will get his own solo movie in 2019, called The Batman.
