Disney Channel's ‘Phineas and Ferb’ takes on ‘Star Wars’

A special episode of Disney Channel’s Phineas and Ferb, titled Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars, is set to air Saturday, July 26 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

The Disney Channel revealed Phineas, Ferb and the gang will be meeting Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, C-3PO, R2-D2 and other iconic Star Wars characters during the episode.

The plot of the episode involves the Phineas and Ferb gang in a parallel universe during Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.

While living on the moisture farm next to Luke Skywalker's farm, Phineas and Ferb find R2-D2 and the Death Star plans. The gang then hire pilot Isabella, Han Solo’s rival, to return the plans to the Rebel Alliance. Meanwhile, Stormtrooper Candace hunts the Rebels across the galaxy in an attempt to retrieve the Death Star plans.

The creators/executive producers of the show, Dan Povenmire and Jeff Marsh, will make special appearances as themselves in the episode.

Simon Pegg will be the voice of both C-3PO and Candace’s Commanding Officer. The voices of Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman, Mythbusters hosts, will also be used in the special.

The episode will air against on Aug. 4 on Disney XD, ahead of a special first look at the upcoming series Star Wars Rebels.
