Grammy award winning engineer for Eminem, Steve King has died at the age of 56.
Billboard reported that Eminem was one of many artists that had worked with King. The duo had worked on The Eminem Show which won a Grammy in 2003 and King also worked on "Lose Yourself" from the 8 Mile soundtrack.
King died on Tuesday in a Detroit hospital. He had been recently diagnosed with liver disease.
Eminem released a statement following the passing of King, expressing his sadness over his passing and that it was an honor to have worked with King.
"I'm very sad to hear about Steve King's passing. I had the honor and pleasure of working with Steve on many projects in my earlier years and he was a greatly talented engineer, musician and friend. I will miss Steve's friendly way and sense of humor the most. My condolences go out to his family and all that knew Steve," said the official statement from Eminem.
The Detroit Free Press added that Steve King had also worked with Aretha Franklin.
