While some celebrities like Kanye West and Jonah Hill do things they eventually regret to avoid photographers, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 couple Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield devised a unique way to hide their faces from the cameras while strolling around New York Tuesday morning.
The real-life couple held up hand-written signs over their faces to bring some attention to a charity.
“Good morning! We were eating and saw a group of guys with cameras outside. And so we thought, let’s try this again. We don’t need the attention, but these wonderful organizations do,” read the card that emma held over her face.
This isn’t actually the first time that Garfield and Stone used the paparazzi to help get charitable causes some extra attention. As People points out, they did it back in 2012 to promote Gilda’s Club and Worldwide Orphans.
Stone and Garfield have been dating since 2011 and play the lead couple in the Amazing Spider-Man films. Stone will next be seen in Woody Allen’s Magic in the Moonlight.
