‘Game of Thrones’ promises epic finale this Sunday

By Chris Howcroft,

Game of Thrones has been shocking people throughout its entire run on HBO with some many moments that have left fans speechless and stunned. The season four finale is this Sunday and according to the showrunners, this season finale is going to change everything.

The Huffington Post is reporting that in the past Game of Thrones has saved their shocking moment for the season’s penultimate episode, but this Sunday, the finale is going to change that rule and provide another shocking moment. The showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss said “it’s the best finale we’ve ever done, bar none."

Weiss and Benioff have said that this finale could be their “finest hour." They said that everything from the acting performances to the music and effects just came together perfectly and it will be very difficult to top this finale with season five coming next year.

This will also be one of the show’s longest running episodes. The upcoming season finale episode titled “The Children” will have a runtime of 66 minutes, according to CNN. This means that fans will have over an hour to enjoy Game of Thrones for the last time in 2014.

There are many interests and questions heading into Sunday’s season finale. What will be the fate of Tyrion Lannister after he was sentenced to death at the conclusion of episode eight? Jon Snow leaves Castle Black after the battle at the wall to try and take out the leader of the wildlings Mance Rayder as well as Arya arriving at The Eyrie as well as how is Daenerys Targaryen dealing with a betrayal among her allies?
