A bride in Jackson, Tennessee is garnering some attention for the unconventional way she involved her baby in her wedding ceremony. Shona Carter-Brooks is defending her decision to attach her baby to the train of her gown as she walked down the aisle, dragging the infant as she walked.
She took to Facebook to defend herself after becoming a nationwide topic of conversation.
“The answer is we do what we want when we want long as Jesus on our side everything worked out fine and gone continue to be fine. Our 1 month old was awake and well secured on my train,” she wrote.
“My father said, ‘Folks need to get a life!’ Who asked for their opinion? He said, ‘I ain't have to ask noun for nothing and it was my day!’ He said media, family, or associates if you got a problem we can solve it and that's not talking on Facebook. So with that being said, signing off now! God is forever in control in our life, so everyone be bless!!” she continued.
Carter-Brooks literally attached her baby to her gown just one month after giving birth.
According to Jackson’s WREG, some of Carter-Brooks’ friends commented positive messages about it on her Facebook page although it’s been widely criticized in the media.
