KFC asks child scarred by pit bull to leave restaurant

A 3-year-old girl was asked to leave a KFC in Jackson, Mississippi, because the injuries she sustained from a pit bull attack were scaring the other customers.

The little girl, Victoria, was dining in a restaurant with her grandmother, Kelly Mullins, after a doctor’s appointment. While they were eating, an employee approached them.

“They said, ‘We have to ask you to leave, because her face is disrupting our customers,'” Mullins said, according to WAPT News. “I wanted to hit the lady,” she said in a WAPT news video.

Victoria was attacked by three pit bulls at her grandfather's home, back in April. The dogs caused extensive damage, breaking the girl’s nose, jaw, cheekbones and right eye socket. The right side of her face is now paralyzed, and she has lost her right eye, reports the Associated Press.

After the incident at KFC, Victoria cried the entire drive home.

“She’s 3 years old and she’s embarrassed about what she looks like,” Mullins said, according to WAPT News. “She’s embarrassed, and I hate it because she shouldn’t be. It ain’t her fault.”

The restaurant has since apologized and is donating $30,000 toward Victoria’s medical bills, according to the Associated Press.
