Lindsay Lohan will star in the David Mamet play, Speed-the-Plow, in London this coming fall.

Lohan will play Karen, an ambitious secretary, in this revival of the 1988 Broadway play. The role of Karen was played by Madonna in the original production. The role is a departure for Lohan, who is known for her film roles.

The London production will be directed by Lindsay Posner. According to Broadway.com the show will run from Sept. 24 through Nov. 30.

The show will take place at London’s Playhouse Theatre. It previously showed in London in 1989 and was revived in the West End in 2000.

Lohan is known for her roles in Mean Girls, Freaky Friday and more recently The Canyons. On the small screen, Lohan has been seen in That '70s Show, Ugly Betty and Glee.

According to Associated Press, the celebrity has battled drug and alcohol addictions and was featured in her own reality TV show.
