Miranda Lambert is set to have her first No. 1 album on the Billboard Hot 200 charts with her recent studio album, Platinum. Along with this accomplishment Lambert is also set to have her highest first week sales ever for a record.
Billboard reported that industry forecasters are predicting that the album could sell upwards of 175,000 copies in its first week of sales which will end on June 8.
Lambert's latest release will mark one of the largest sales weeks for a country female artist since Taylor Swift released her album Red. Red sold over 241,000 copies in its first week.
Lambert, Blake Shelton's wife recently did a photo shoot with Rolling Stone magazine and opened up about working on this latest record.
"I don't ever say, 'I'm going to make this record sound more country or more rock & roll.' I feel like there is a little bit of style of what I love as an artist and what I listen to on this record. There is some swing, and some rock & roll, and some real country, and everything in between," said Lambert.
