New Weird Al Yankovic album gets July 15 release date

Weird Al Yankovic is known for his ability to turn popular songs into funny parodies, and now he is ready to unleash his latest album. This new album will be released on July 15, and is the follow-up to his 2011 album, Alpocalypse.

Yankovic announced the news via Twitter and informed his fan following that he had just completed mastering his new album. No official title has been announced, Billboard reported.

He went into production on the album back in December of last year. He went back to work on the album following a lawsuit settlement that took place between Sony Music over royalties, along with a few other allegations.

Yankovic also posted what appears to be the album cover art on his Twitter account. If the art is any indication, it appears that this album will have a Stalinist and/or Soviet influence done in a humorous fashion. This will mark the 13th studio release from Al, The Music.com reported.
