Nickelodon has finally released some information about the third season of The Legend of Korra, Nick’s massively popular series and sequel to Avatar: The Last Airbender. And, surprisingly, the film’s premiere is closer than you think: Book Three, entitled Change, will debut on Friday, June 27, at 7 p.m., with the first three episodes of the series airing in sequence.

The details of the third season’s premiere were exclusively released on IGN, and included not only a preview clip, but also short descriptions of the first two episodes of the season. The first three episodes have also been given titles: “A Breath of Fresh Air,” “Rebirth of a Nation,” and “The Earth Queen.”

Earlier in the week, as reported by Crossmap , co-creator Michael Dante DiMartino wrote, "Can't believe we've finished an entire season's worth of shows. We're so proud of everyone who worked so hard to make Book 3 the best season of Korra yet! I know you are all excited to watch - believe me, we're excited to share it with you!"

DiMartino also gave some details on the premise of the upcoming season, stating, “At the end of Book 2 she says it's a new era. And it really is and we're going to show how Harmonic Convergence and her battle with Unalaq and Vaatu kind of shifted the world a bit," DiMartino said.

The previous seasons of the show, which feature Janet Varney (pictured above) as the titular Korra, can be watched or rewatched on Nick.com for a limited time, as well as interviews and exclusive content.
