Authorities are looking into the deaths of two men found shot at a Kansas City cemetery.
Authorities told KMBC that a passerby noticed two bodies in the grass shortly after 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Unsure of their condition, the driver then called police who arrived to check on the welfare of the men and found them dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
Officers said the bodies were discovered about 40 feet off the roadway.
KSHB reported that police have not recovered any weapons at the crime scene and it is still unclear if the men were actually shot at the Memorial Park Cemetery.
Law enforcement officials do not have any suspects in custody at this time and have yet to release the identities or ages of the victims. They have said that they are two African American males, but did not confirm reports that they are siblings.
One woman arrived to the scene and was crying as she believed the victims could be her sons.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Kansas City Police Department.
