R&B artist, Maxwell, has a lot on his schedule this upcoming year, including new music, going on tour and hopefully a child.
In a recent interview with the Associated Press, Maxwell spoke about his future plans that extend past working in the music industry.
Maxwell did explain that he wants to release an album this year but his focus is on getting married and starting a family. "This year is really about the people, it's really about focusing on putting out the music, and taking myself to another level in life. Hopefully getting married, having kids — the whole thing," Maxwell said.
Maxwell came back into the music scene in 2009 when he released his award winning BLACKsummers'night. The work and creative process on that album inspired him to want to release a follow up album, which was originally planned to be released in 2010. Instead that album is going to be released later this year.
Fans of Maxwell will be able to hear some of his new music when he heads out on a two-month tour that will start in June 15m kicking off in Minneapolis. This is his first U.S. tour since 2011.
Rolling Stone magazine added that Maxwell was going to go on a large stadium tour in 2012 but one month before the first show was scheduled, it was announced that he would be undergoing surgery to repair a ruptured vocal cord.
