Paulson has previously appeared in the show’s first three seasons, each time as different characters. In last year’s American Horror Story: Coven, Paulson played Cordelia Foxx, headmistress of an academy of witches.

According to Variety, American Horror Story: Freak Show will be set in Jupiter, Florida and will focus on the last few freak shows in the United States during the 1950s.

The new cast of characters for the AHS anthology series will also include a Clown Killer and a bearded lady, though it’s not yet clear which actors will be attached to these new characters.

Production of the season will start next month, but on Wednesday, Paulson gave E! News her reaction to the first script of the season: “Holy s—t!”

American Horror Story: Freak Show will premiere on FX this October.
