A teenager in Tacoma, Washington called the cops and said that he killed and buried his missing father in their backyard.
According to KCPQ, authorities received the disturbing call just after 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
“The son who lived here called 911 and said he had killed his father,” Tacoma police spokeswoman Loretta Cool said. “We were able to piece together things from the missing persons report, things that he (the boy) said in the initial call to establish enough probable cause for the search warrant.”
The News Tribune reported that after checking the premises, police did in fact find a dead body.
Officials said that the death does not appear to be “natural” and the case is being investigated as a homicide.
Police did not release the name of the deceased and if it is the teen’s father as they are waiting on positive identification.
The 16-year-old boy was taken into custody and is being questioned by investigators who are trying to piece together how the teen came to kill and bury his father.
