Top 10 NBA Free Agents in 2014

By Ian Sacks,

Free agency is an exciting time in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Players get to meet with different teams and determine where they want to call home for the upcoming season. It also gives the 30 franchises the chance to weigh what players they want to bring back and which ones they will let walk away.

When the biggest superstars are free agents, it opens the door to a world of possibilities. Would it be possible for two or three elite players to join forces and form a super-team? This event occurred most notably in the summer of 2010, when LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh all signed with the Miami Heat. In the four years that the Big Three have been together in South Beach, they have been in the NBA Finals every year, claiming two championships. However, James, Wade, and Bosh can opt-out of their contracts this summer and test the free agent market. James has already chosen to do so, while Wade and Bosh have not announced what they will do yet.

With free agency beginning on July 1, here is a ranking of the top 10 potential free agents.
