Top 10 Things to know about new ABC 'World News' anchor David Muir

The news is abuzz Wednesday that anchor Diane Sawyer will be leaving ABC’s World News and George Stephanopoulos and David Muir have been named as her replacements. George Stephanopoulos will share the duties with Muir, as Stephanopolous is a co-anchor for Good Morning America and he also hosts the ABC program This Week.

In addition to his new duties, Muir also is a co-anchor for 20/20 along with Elizabeth Vargas. He will also take on managing editor duties at the World News desk and he has plenty of experience when it comes to reporting the news, having been in the business for almost 20 years. With his experience in reporting big news headlines, there is plenty to know about the World News program’s newest addition to the anchor chair.
