It is always heartwarming and refreshing to see that no matter how large of a star or how demanding you schedule, family always comes first. At least it does for Ariana Grande, 21, right now as she has dropped everything to fly out to Florida and remain by her grandfather’s side as he fights cancer in the hospital.
E! Online reports that the young music star tweeted on the holiday, “Love u grandps i need u pls pull thru” and the day before she posted several photos to her Instagram page of her and her grandfather in bed.
This is not the first time Grande has spoken about her grandfather’s illness on social media, as she also tweeted on World Cancer Day, Feb. 4th, about how he is an inspiration and a hero.
Hollywood Life reports that Grandpa Grande has started to crack some jokes by telling Grande her “hair is too big” and also still showing support for Frankie Grande, Ariana’s brother, who is currently competing on Big Brother. While Grande wanted him by their side, Grandpa disagreed by saying, “no he gotta win the game!!”
While the cancer is currently at bay, chemo and radiation took a lot out of the man says Grande.
We are thinking good thoughts for Ariana and her family during this difficult time.
