How does spending $26,000 on Marty McFly’s hoverboard sound? How about owning your own Golden Ticket to Mr. Wonka’s factory?
The prop, ridden by Michael J. Fox in the 1989 sequel to Back to the Future will be going up for auction, according to USA Today. Prop Store's project manager, Sian Anderson, has told USA Today that the hoverboard features a "rare ball-bearing spinning footpad."
But this futuristic skateboard isn’t the only thing being auctioned for all you movie junkies.
Starting Oct. 1, movie enthusiasts can purchase it along with 375 other props from various movies at a live auction in London to be held by Prop Store and Vue Entertainment.
Radiotimes.com reports that some of the other movie memorabilia up for grabs are a film crew jacket from the set of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, a Golden Ticket from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and a leather biker outfit sported by Arnold Schwarzenegger in Terminator 2: Judgement Day.
The auction will run until Oct. 16.
