The Baltimore Orioles pull out a victory against the Seattle Mariners on the road. The final score was Orioles three and the Mariners two.
From the fourth inning until the end of the seventh inning, the score was tied up at one run each, according to ESPN. In the top of the eighth inning, the Orioles scored, and then the Mariners tied the game back up, making things even at two runs.
Manny Machado of the Orioles was the main contributor in the last inning of play, as reported by MLB.com. He hit a sacrifice fly that put the Orioles ahead for good after 10 innings of play.
The Orioles proved they could pull out victories against teams even when they are not playing well. The Mariners left Sunday’s contest without a win.
Baltimore remains three games ahead of the Toronto Blue Jays in the American League Eastern Division. The team looks to continue a consistent effort and produce victories so they remain a playoff contender going into the last days of the MLB season.
