Beyonce changes lyrics to cheating ballad 'Resentment' during 'On the Run' tour with Jay Z, fuels speculation

Beyonce and Jay Z are giving fans something to talk about on their On the Run tour, changing up the lyrics to “Resentment” at their Ohio stop on Saturday to poke at the recent cheating rumors that have been surfacing.

Beyonce changed the lyrics of the song, which is about infidelity, to reflect their relationship. Instead of singing "been riding with you for six years," she sang, "been riding with you for 12 years." The couple have been married for six years, but started dating in 2002.

According to the Daily News, “Resentment” comes off of Beyonce’s second solo album B’Day and was first released in 2006.

When the album came out, she said in an interview that “Resentment” was one of the songs she was most “proud” of.

“I feel like vocally I’ve grown, I feel like all the chord changes and the beautiful harmonies and the lyrics is something that I really am proud of," she said at the time.

Fans are now speculating that her changing up the lyrics somehow confirms the cheating rumors. She performed the song in a wedding veil and all-white outfit. A fan posted a clip of the moment after the concert, shown below:
