Casting news comes as two actors have been chosen to star in Star Wars Episode VII and they are Pip Andersen and Crystal Clarke.
According to MTV, over 67,000 people came to casting calls in both the United States and the United Kingdom for the chance to star in the movie.
Kathleen Kennedy, who is the president of Lucasfilm and also a producer on the film, said, “The Star Wars universe has always been about discovering and nurturing young talent and in casting Episode VII we wanted to remain absolutely faithful to this tradition.”
Filming on the movie is also set to take a two-week break while actor Harrison Ford continues his recovery after an injury to his leg.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that it is not known who the actors will play, but in a description for the casting call, two characters in the call were named Rachel and Thomas, the former who was street smart, while the latter didn’t have a father to look up to growing up.
Clarke appeared in the upcoming film The Moon and the Sun while Andersen appeared in a 2012 commercial spot for Sony.
