Chris Bosh reportedly was made a serious contract offer by the Houston Rockets that would allow him to make $88 million over four years. After discussing his future with LeBron James over the weekend, Bosh is looking at possibly changing teams.
That leaves other teams such as the Rockets a serious opportunity to entice Bosh with a maximum contract.
Bosh is looking elsewhere besides South Beach partially because the Miami Heat are trying to get Bosh to take less money. Bosh said he would take less money, however the Heat want him to take an even bigger pay cut, reports ESPN, who first learned of the Rockets' offer.
He has won two championships and has made four All-Star rosters since becoming a member of the Miami Heat. In his most recent season, he averaged 16.2 points and 6.6 rebounds, according to NBA.com.
With Bosh’s future up in the air as well as rest of the Big Three in Miami, the Heat would have to transform overnight if they want to compete for another ring and a taste of Champagne next June.
