Drake took the stage at the ESPYs on Wednesday night and proved he’s still unhappy with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis essentially sweeping the rap categories at the Grammys. They won Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Album earlier this year.
During his performance of a song called “Honorable Mention,” which he dedicated to everyone who didn’t win in either sports, or his case, the Grammys, a big picture of Macklemore flashed on the screen as he sang "Real talent doesn't always win championships, like real music doesn't always win Grammys,” the Huffington Post reports.
In an interview with Rolling Stone back in February, Drake dissed Macklemore for posting a text message he sent Kendrick Lamar proclaiming he thought he should’ve won instead.
“I was like, 'You won. Why are you posting your text message? Just chill. Take your W, and if you feel you didn't deserve it, go get better — make better music,'" said Drake. "It felt cheap. It didn't feel genuine. Why do that? Why feel guilt? You think those guys would pay homage to you if they won?"
