A violent gang has made the immigration crisis worse, crossing its members over to the United States.
According to Fox News, MS-13, or Mara Salvatrucha, members are said to be crossing the borders along with the surge of children.
“They’re now using the Nogales processing center as a recruitment hub for new members to come in,” Katie Pavlich, Fox contributor, said.
According to Top Documentary, MS-13 is one of the most violent, and organized gangs in the United States.
The gang is stationed all over the states, and also has ties in Mexico.
The Nogales processing center in Arizona is being used a transfer point for the gang to get members across the border, reported Town Hall.
At least 16 MS-13 gang members were confirmed by an intern Border Patrol summary as being housed in the processing center.
MS-13 members were reportedly using phone banks set up by the Red Cross to communicate with members already in the United States.
"Agents' hands are tied due to the policies governing the care and lodging of juveniles and this has allowed gang recruitment and activity to flourish amongst those being detained," said Shawn Moran, vice president of the National Border Patrol Council.
