Jenny McCarthy to host SiriusXM radio show after leaving 'The View'

By Daniel S Levine,

Jenny McCarthy has signed on to host an exclusive SiriusXM satellite radio show that will air once a week. While the length of the series wasn’t confirmed, SiriusXM did say that it will only run for a limited time.

Dirty, Sexy, Funny with Jenny McCarthy will run an hour a week, beginning this Wednesday at 6 p.m. ET. The first celebrity guests set to appear are comedian Chelsea Handler, socialite Paris Hilton and, of course, her fiance, actor Donnie Wahlberg. More will be revealed at a later date.

Each episode will feature the former View co-host talking about parenting, marriage and relationships with her celebrity friends. She is also looking to bring the audience in on the fun.

“It's no secret that I love to talk,” McCarthy said in a statement. “I'm excited to do it on SiriusXM without having to interrupt anyone or keep things clean. You can bet your sweet ass this show will live up to its title.”

Scott Greenstein, President and Chief Content Officer, SiriusXM said that the company is “excited to welcome her and offer her a platform to have uncensored, unscripted conversations about the topics she's passionate about.”

McCarthy decided to leave The View after just one season, following Sherri Shepherd. The View’s only returning host is Whoopi Goldberg, although Rosie O’Donnell has signed on to make a comeback in the fall.

Wahlberg and McCarthy have their wedding date all set and will tie the knot soon.
