Kevin McEnroe, the son of John McEnroe and Tatum O'Neal, was arrested by police on criminal possession charges of cocaine and pills late Tuesday night.
Kevin was also charged with intent to sell after police witnessed him in the middle of a deal with a 22-year-old in Manhattan, The Wall Street Journal reports.
A law enforcement official said the purchaser, Niro Meneses, was found to have 13 bags and three vials of cocaine on his person.
When searched, police discovered more than 30 pills and six bags of cocaine on Kevin, which his lawyer, Isabelle Kirshner, said was "certainly nothing remarkable."
According to ABC News, O'Neal called police while trying to find her son. The actress was previously arrested herself six years ago for misdemeanor criminal possession and checked into a treatment program as part of a plea deal.
Kevin was released on his own recognizance on Wednesday, while Meneses is still waiting to go before the judge. Kevin will be back in court in October.
