Evidently all news involving Lebron James is big news. The four-time MVP is unsure what number he will be wearing during his second stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
James took to Twitter to ask fans if he should wear number 6 or 23 in the upcoming season. He wore 23 during his first seven years in Cleveland, but switched to 6 when he signed with the Miami Heat back in 2010. James grew up wearing 23 out of admiration for Michael Jordan, but gave up the number out of respect, that according to ESPN.

James has had fair more success while wearing 6 than he has 23. As number 23, he is remembered as the guy who couldn't win a championship in Cleveland, and then bolted to team up with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami. However, as number 6, he has won two NBA championships and become the face of the league. He also wore 6 when he won Olympic gold medals at the 2008 and 2012 games.
Despite what he has accomplished, when people think of number 23, they will always think of Jordan. Number 6 has history as well, as NBA legends Bill Russell and Julius Erving both wore it.
Jordan switched numbers during his career as well. He wore 45 for a while when he returned to the NBA after taking time off to play minor league baseball. However, he finished out his career wearing the familiar 23 with the Washington Wizards.
Athletes tend to be superstitious, so James will probably continue to wear number 6.
