Actress Lindsay Lohan is suing the developer and publisher of the hit video game Grand Theft Auto V, for allegedly creating a character clearly based upon her.
BBC Newsbeat reports that the actress is suing the Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games for creating a character that is based on her without her permission.
The similarities between Lohan and the video game character, named Lacey Jonas, stem from her image, clothing style from her own line and voice, as well as the West Hollywood's Chateau Marmont hotel, where Lohan used to live.
In the GTA V's story mode, Lacey Jonas asks the protagonist for help avoiding paparazzi, similar to Lohan's public struggles with paparazzi attention.
According to the Associated Press, Lohan filed the suit in a Manhattan court Wednesday.
Grand Theft Auto V is the latest installment of the best-selling video game franchise. It was released in September of last year, with sales topping $1 billion three days after hitting store shelves.
It was reported in December that Lohan was gearing up to file a lawsuit, but it wasn't know back then exactly what character or image she believed to be based upon herself.
