Los Angeles Clippers re-sign big man Glen Davis

By Ricky Yandoli,

It is official the Los Angeles Clippers have re-signed big man Glen Davis. The veteran forward came over to the team during this past February after the Orlando Magic bought out his contract.

His contract will consist of a minimum deal of $1.2 million. This allows the Clippers to save a lot of money for the future and at the same time acquire a player like Davis that can do all of the dirty work.

Los Angeles took advantage, as they needed a big man to come off of the bench to relieve minutes for all-star forward Blake Griffin. When Davis became available, the Clippers pounced on the opportunity.

According to ESPN, Davis coming to the Clippers gave him a chance to reunite with his former coach Doc Rivers. Rivers coached Davis in Boston from 2007 until 2011.

He has been struggling ever since he left Boston in 2011, however, Big Baby Davis is 28 years young. He has a full season to prove himself and return to the form of three years ago, proven by NBC Sports.
