By Daniel Levine,

Police in Ohio say that they have found the body of Cory Barron, a 22-year-old from Fremont, Ohio who disappeared after country star Jason Aldean’s July 18 show at Cleveland’s Progressive Field.

Shortly after the show, Barron’s family reported him missing on Saturday. The Lorain County Sheriff’s Office told Cleveland police on Tuesday that his body was discovered in a landfill in New Russia Township, reports Fox8.

The Lorain County Sheriff’s office has yet to determine the cause of death. Cleveland police Commander James Chura told Fox8 that they think he may have fallen into a trash chute in Progressive Field’s basement, six stories below his seat. His body was found with his ticket stub and ID.

Aldean later took to Twitter to express his condolences to Barron’s family. “My sincere condolences go out to Cory Barron's family and friends,” the singer wrote. “My heart is heavy for you all and you are in my thoughts and prayers.”

According to Fox News, the Cleveland Indians, who play at Progressive Field, also issued a statement.

“The Cleveland Indians are saddened by the news of Cory Barron’s untimely death and wish to extend their sincere condolences to the Barron family and friends,” the MLB team said. “We are cooperating with the authorities in their investigation and do not have additional comment at this time.”
