Paramount Pictures Australia posted a promotional poster Tuesday morning for the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which displayed the four reptilian warriors falling off an exploding building and a Sept. 11 release date.
Paramount quickly deleted the tweet after it became apparent that it had caused an uproar among the Twitter community. According to TMZ, retweets included comments such as, "WOW. Someone's getting fired for this," and, "Did Paramount really think this was a suitable poster for a movie release on September 11th?" TMZ also attempted to get a comment from the studio, but has yet to hear back from them.
The Hollywood Reporter also attempted to get a comment, but has had no luck so far.
