Business owner Rick Harrison, whose pawn shop is featured on the popular History Channel show Pawn Stars, has plans to expand.
Harrison has submitted plans to the Nevada town the store is located in, for a Pawn Star Plaza, which would include six restaurants and 16 other shops near his old & Silver Pawn Shop to give the many tourists that frequent the store something to do while waiting in the long line to get in.
“We have always tried to improve our customer experience while waiting in line," general manager Theo Spyer explained, the Associated Press reports. "Now we intend to take it to the next level. We are currently working on a line system that will enable the fans to patronize Pawn Star Plaza without losing their position in line.”
The Las Vegas Review Journal reports Harrison also wants to clean up the part of town the shop is located in, spending $2 million on the project.
“I really want to see this part of town do great,” he said.
