Rachel McAdams is opening up about working with Lindsay Lohan in Mean Girls ten years ago, telling the August issue of Allure that she was blown away by her talent.
McAdams told Allure she was in “awe” of Lohan’s talent in response to rumors that Lohan was intimidated by The Notebook star.
“I looked at her as this experienced actor, and she had great comedic timing, so natural,” she said. “It’s just funny to hear that because you never know what people are thinking. We all try to act like we’ve got it together.”
McAdams, 36, even dished about "one of the scariest moments I've had in my career," and it might surprise fans of her work. She said it was the striptease during her film The Hot Chick. In the film, McAdams switches bodies with a criminal, who happens to be a man.
"I remember standing backstage, dressed like a mechanic. I had a pink bikini on underneath, grease on my face, and I just remember breathing deep and thinking, Oh, my God, I have to go out there and do this striptease, as a man … as a woman," she said.
The actress will next appear alongside the late Philip Seymour Hoffman in A Most Wanted Man. She gushed at the chance to work with Hoffman before his untimely death, telling Allure he "really took me under his wing.”
