Robin Thicke has reportedly realized that he is definitely not going to win estranged wife Paula Patton back. Considering how his musical pleas have been ignored by everyone, including his fans, it is surprising that it took him so long to get the message.
According to a TMZ report, Thicke is already giving the bad news to his team, admitting that the relationship has collapsed. Sources for the site claim that the two sides have an attorney working on a financial settlement, but they haven’t hired divorce lawyers.
In addition, Thicke still doesn’t want to be the one to file for divorce. He’s waiting on Patton to do that.
Patton and Thicke have been married since 2005, but cheating allegations popped up last year, just as Thicke scored the biggest hit of his career with “Blurred Lines.” In February, the two confirmed that they are no longer together, but Thicke tried so hard to get her back that he lost his fans in the process.
His follow-up to Blurred Lines, Paula, was a complete flop in the U.S. and abroad. It sold just 24,000 copies in its first week in the U.S.
Incredibly, Patton has done her best to remain quiet when it comes to celebrity gossip. Now, she’s probably happy that Thicke will stop publicly trying to win her back.
