Domhnall Gleeson, who can be seen in the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII, is in negotiations to join the growing cast of Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu's The Revenant.

The news was first reported by Variety, but it isn't yet known what role he will play in the New Regency film.

Gleeson can be seen in the upcoming Michael Fassbender film Frank and Episode VII.

The Harry Potter alum will join Leonardo DiCaprio, Will Poulter and the more recently cast Tom Hardy in the flick, which is set to start shooting in the fall.

The Revenant follows a DiCaprio as a fur trapper who begins hunting down those who left him for dead after he was attacked by a bear.

Inarritu is in the director's chair and he also co-wrote the script with Mark L. Smith based upon Michael Punke's novel of the same name.

New Regency and RatPac Entertainment are financing the film, with Steve Golin, David Kanter, Keith Redmon, James Skotchdopole, Arnon Milchan and Inarritu. Brett Ratner, James Packer and Paul Green are on board as executive producers.
