Texts between Bill Belichick and Aaron Hernandez could be made public

Pages of text messages between New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick and ex-player Aaron Hernandez could be submitted as evidence in the suspect’s murder trial.

According to the New York Daily News, on Monday, prosecutors in Bristol County handed over 33 pages of texts between the coach and former Patriot to the defense lawyers.

The messages were exchanged between February and May of 2013, but the content has not yet been disclosed. However, the texts from the usually private coach could be made public if they are brought into evidence at the upcoming trial.

Hernandez has been in jail since June 26, 2013 as he awaits trial for the execution-style killing of semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd.

At the time of his murder, Lloyd was dating the sister of Hernandez’s fiancée.

The former tight end has also been accused in the shooting deaths of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado outside a Boston nightclub a year earlier.

The 24-year-old has plead not guilty to all three murders.
