Trailer for Ridley Scott's 'Exodus: Gods and Kings' with Christian Bale and Joel Edgerton premieres online

Trailer is released alongside three new posters

Twentieth Century Fox has released the first trailer for the upcoming Bible epic Exodus: Gods and Kings, directed by Ridley Scott and featuring Christian Bale as Moses and Joel Edgerton as Rhamses.

According to Slash Film, Exodus will give a new perspective to the biblical story of Moses throughout his life. The film will also focus on the conflict between Moses (Bale) and his adopted brother Ramses (Edgerton).

As noted by the Daily Mail, Sigourney Weaver will play Queen Tuya, Ramses' and Moses’ mother, and the film will also feature performances from Ben Mendelsohn, Ben Kingsley and Aaron Paul.

Exodus: Gods and Kings is slated to released in the U.S. on Dec. 12. As Variety noted, Scott and Chernin have also announced plans to develop a film based on the biblical character King David that will also be released by Fox.

The studio also released several new posters, according to ScreenCrush.
