Matt Bomer has officially joined the ranks and is set to become a freak on the new season of American Horror Story.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Ryan Murphy, the show's co-creator, approached Bomer for the role. Although details about his character have not yet been revealed, Bomer said the role is “warped.” Murphy directed Bomer in HBO's The Normal Heart.
Details about American Horror Story: Freak Show have been kept secret. Last month, Sarah Paulson, who starred in the second and third seasons of the show, tweeted a picture of herself with two heads. Although many fans thought the picture were real, Paulson confirmed that it was indeed fake. She said the look was from her season two character, Lana Winters, reported Hollywood Life.
Fans who have been itching for a trailer of the show had their pleas answered in the form of two clips, less than 20 seconds each. The first trailer was of the hand of an unidentified creature holding out a ticket with the show's name before quickly closing it's palm. The second trailer was recently released, and followed the style of the first.
As previously reported, American Horror Story: Freak Show will premiere on FX on Oct. 8.
