‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ gets October premiere date

By Daniel Levine,

FX and Ryan Murphy announced Wednesday that the fourth season of the acclaimed anthology series American Horror Story, Freak Show, will begin this October.

The network posted a short teaser on Facebook, which shows a bizarre, four-fingered hand holding a ticket stub with the show’s logo on it. At the end, it revealed the show’s premiere date.

Freak Show, which will start on Oct. 8, is set in 1925 and takes place in Jupiter, Florida, notes Deadline. As is the usual for the show, it will star Jessica Lange and a host of stars playing unique roles.

One of the most interesting casting choices came over the weekend, when Murphy announced that the world’s smallest woman would appear in the series. Jyoti Amge, 20, is from India and is just 2 feet and 0.6 inches tall. She is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records.

More experienced actors in the cast include Patti LaBelle, John Carroll Lynch, Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Evan Peters and Michael Chiklis.
